Improvers+

Over the last few years the names Beginner, Improver, Intermediate and Advanced have gained common usage to describe Salsa Classes. They originated in some of the dance schools in London, due to the need to classify things like Salsa DVDs and as a copy of the sort of levels used to describe other dance classes such as Jive.

My Absolute Beginners Classes do Beginner-level stuff and often end up doing quite a bit of Improver-level stuff too. At this level I focus on some of the more rewarding and authentic, but less typically northern-European Salsa moves. Therefore most people will find new things to learn if they have never come to my classes before.

My Improver Classes are fairly similar to what are now known as Improvers/Intermediate Classes. However, because I do not teach using routines it is very hard to define exactly what level my classes run at... sometimes we end up doing Advanced things because we have a stronger emphasis on lead-follow skills in my classes.

I recommend visiting the Meet Duncan section to find out more if you like, or if you have more questions you can simply phone or email me.
